The Arabescato Kitchen

Arabescato Marble is an Italian stone celebrated for its striking aesthetic and timeless elegance.

It first came into use during the 18th and 19th centuries during the Baroque and Neoclassical eras across Britain and France. It was then used through the Victorian and Edwardian era’s in grand public and private architecture.

Here it has cemented itself as a timeless, high quality marble, a statement piece, transforming countertops, backsplashes, and islands into focal points that exude refinement and exclusivity.
Its base is clean white, layered with bold, fluid veining in shades from soft greys to deep charcoals. Unlike uniform marbles, Arabescato’s patterns feel dynamic and artistic – each slab looks like a natural painting, with sweeping, interconnected veins that create movement and depth.

No two slabs are alike, offering an exclusive element to your kitchen space and ensuring a bespoke, one-of-a-kind finish. Arabescato marble brings an unmistakable sense of luxury to the modern kitchen.

Our client wanted to elevate the kitchen space, leaning into the striking pattern for a worktop and splashback. The material was then continued into some bespoke shelving, our team carefully drilled into the London subway tiles to secure the marble shelves to the wall with ornate brass brackets from DeVol – a nod to Victorian design.

The 20mm worktop in a polished finish made for a striking addition in her airy pitched roof. Positioned on the back wall of the property, the worktop and splashback run the width of the room, cushioned at either side of the large range cooker. A traditional kitchen pot filler tap was installed over the range, again matched back to the brass traditional pot rack that was carefully fixed into the marble splashback.

We like to match the splashback to the worktop or upstands. On this project the client wanted the dramatic veining to run naturally diagonally across the full size hob splashback.
This marble is good in rooms of all sizes, the white tones amplify natural light, keeping the kitchen airy. Book matching can also be an option with this stone.
