Workshop Manager
Location: Thanet, Kent, UK
As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our stone manufacturing facility. This role requires a hands-on approach, exceptional organisational skills, and a deep understanding of stone masonry processes. You will lead a dedicated production team, adhering to production schedules, ensuring works are produced on time and executing the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.
The position will be office based, so you will have a desk and computer to oversee all of the workshop management, drawings and DXF files, material and consumable management. You ultimately will be the key link between the office and workshop.
Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch break.
The occasional Saturday may be required but will be discussed in advance, and ‘flexi-hours’ will be discussed with Robert.
Location: Outskirts of Canterbury/Thanet in Kent.
Key Responsibilities
- Production duties:
- Workflow Optimisation: Implement efficient working processes to maximise productivity while maintaining craftsmanship standards.
- Programme all work through the 5 axis saw after receipt of all of the digital templates.
- Load the saw and feed all work through the saw, with the support of the team.
- Work closely with the production & installations manager to work to the deadlines which creates the work schedule for the company. Oversee the complete flow from cutting through to quality control when l the material is stacked in the bay for collection.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
- Monitor and optimise manufacturing processes to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.
- Collaborate with the design/sales and production manager to ensure seamless integration of stonework into projects, securing a steady supply chain.
- Work with the template and installation team, working to achieve best practice and clear communication.
- Quality Assurance:
- Inspect finished worktops and stone components to ensure they meet company standards for precision, finish, and client specification.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes throughout the production cycle.
- Final quality checks are given before any work leaves the workshop.
- Team Leadership:
- Maintain regular communication with the Production & Installation Manager to update on progress, capacity, and any production issues.
- At the start of the week lead the team for the Monday meeting, conveying to the workshop and road teams what needs to be achieved.
- As your production team grows, you will be expected to lead, motivate, and mentor a team of skilled stonemasons and production staff.
- Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and support ongoing training for workshop staff.
- Manage staff leave in accordance to the schedule.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote productivity and job satisfaction.
- Health and Safety:
- Enforce safe working practices in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, PUWER, and COSHH regulations.
- Uphold and enforce all health and safety regulations within the Workshop.
- Conduct regular safety audits, promote a safety-first culture, and implement improvements as needed.
- Highlight any safety concerns to the director
- Resource Management:
- Oversee stone slab stock levels, monitor wastage, and ensure materials are handled and stored safely.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Organise and manage all stock materials, working to the company’s stock control processes.
- Ensure all cutting, polishing, and lifting machinery is maintained, serviced, and operated in accordance with manufacturer and HSE guidelines.
- Maintain agreed stock levels of all consumables and workshop tooling.
- Optimise resource allocation to meet production demands while controlling costs.
- Ensure all machines undergo scheduled maintenance and safety checks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the stone masonry or related manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of stone masonry processes and techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.

Stone Mason
Location: Thanet, Kent, UK
We are looking for a Stone mason to join the team, working alongside the Factory manager.
You will have experience working with stone, and kitchen worktops. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience working with granite, quartz and marble, ideally with minimum 2 years experience as a stone mason.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
Location: Outskirts of Canterbury/Thanet in Kent
Key Responsibilities
- Be proficient using hand held grinders and polishers to cut, shape, and polish stone
- Collaborate with factory manager to ensure project specifications are met
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area.
- Produce stone kitchen work tops, Shape stone, Wet and dry polish stone edges
- You will be required to attend site visits and customers houses to assist the fitting team.
- Be open to learn and upskill
- Understand CNC technology (advantage)
- Operate the edge polisher (advantage)
- Knowledge of templating and fitting (advantage)
- Operate a bridge saw (advantage)
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Stone mason 1-2 years is essential.
- Knowledge of masonry and general construction practices.
- UK full driving license is a requirement
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and stone masonry equipment.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Fair physical strength and fitness required to manoeuvre the stone.

Sawyer Stonemason
Location: Thanet, Kent, UK
We are looking for a Stonemason to join the team, working within our Workshop team, working alongside 2 senior stonemasons, a productions manager and the owner.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
Location: Outskirts of Canterbury/Thanet in Kent
Key Responsibilities
- Be proficient using hand held grinders and polishers to cut, shape, and polish stone
- Collaborate with factory manager to ensure project specifications are met
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
- Produce stone kitchen work tops, Shape stone, Wet and dry polish stone edges
- You will be required to attend site visits and customers houses to assist the fitting team
- Be open to learn and up-skill
- Understand CNC technology, and be able to Operate a bridge saw and the edge polisher (advantage)
- Knowledge of templating and fitting (advantage)
Requirements
It is vital you have experience working with stone surfaces, cladding, fireplaces and of course our main bulk of work; kitchen worktops. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with granite, quartz and marble.

Templater Stonemason
Location: Thanet, Kent, UK
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Interiors Templater to join our team, to measure kitchen worktops, bathrooms, fireplaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting client sites to take precise templates for stone installations, ensuring accuracy and quality from initial templating through to final installation. We are looking for someone who can digital template as well as physical correx template.
Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday.
Location: Outskirts of Canterbury/Thanet in Kent.

Key Responsibilities
- Travel to client sites across the region to measure and template for worktops, flooring, bathrooms, and fireplaces.
- Use physical / digital templating tools to create accurate templates for fabrication.
- Liaise with customers on-site to discuss requirements, answer basic queries, and ensure satisfaction with the templating process.
- Collaborate closely with designer estimator, fabricators, and installers to ensure seamless project delivery.

Natural Stone & Quartz Repairs Specialist
Location: South East and London UK
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Natural Stone & Quartz Repairs Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring natural stone and quartz interior projects, old and new. This work may include worktops, wall panels, fireplaces, hearths and floors. Your expertise in handling chips, stains, etches, and surface resealing will ensure that our customers receive a high standard of service and quality craftsmanship. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering stone hearths to customers across various postcodes.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
Location: Various locations across Kent and occasionally London (postcode rotation every 2 weeks)

Key Responsibilities
- Repair Worktops: Fix chips, cracks, and other imperfections in natural stone and quartz worktops.
- Deep Cleaning: Perform thorough cleaning of worktops and floors, removing built-up grime while preserving the integrity of the stone.
- Surface Maintenance: Reseal and treat natural stone and quartz surfaces to protect against future damage.
- Stain & Etch Removal: Identify and address stains and etches on surfaces, restoring the stone to its original appearance.
- Delivery Duties: Deliver stone hearths to customers, ensuring safe handling and timely arrival.
- Postcode Rotation: Work across designated areas, following a postcode rotation every 2 weeks to ensure coverage across the region.
- Customer Service: Engage professionally with customers, providing expert advice and ensuring their satisfaction with the repairs and maintenance work.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in stone repairs, maintenance or stone masonry knowledge is an absolute requirement.
- Skills:
- Proficient in repairing and maintaining natural stone and quartz surfaces.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Driving License: A valid UK driving licence, with the ability to operate a work van safely.
- Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. Must have a friendly demeanour when working so closely in customers’ houses.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work on a rotating postcode schedule every 2 weeks.
